Night after night he spent 33 years of his life modelling a monument with tenacity. Inspired by nature surrounding him, by illustrated magaines he delivered and also by postcards that began to appear in 1890, he built a palace like no other throughout the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nowadays the Palais Id\u00e9al is considered a world reference in art brut and welcomes each year around 200 000 visitors. The palace was classed a historical monument in 1969 as a work of naive art.
